

The house La Mauny releases this sumptuous agricultural rum from 2005 in limited edition to 2005... This old agricultural rum has been aged in 75% ex-cognac French oak barrels and 25% new barrels. Powerful racy, with stewed fruits, citrus fruits, it is presented in a beautiful oak box. It is a must-have.
Nose: Powerful, with notes of spices and fruit compote, citrus zest.
Taste: Powerful, dense, structured, generous spicy with grey pepper, dried fruits and nuts.
Finish: Long, exceptional.
1749, the La Mauny estate is born in Martinique with Ferdinand Poulain Comte de Mauny. Born into the Breton nobility, he married a daughter of Planteur. From 1820 onwards, the production of agricultural rum developed. In 1923 the distillery was bought by the Bellonian brothers. In 1929 the production unit expanded with a distiller’s column, grinding mills and steam engine. The brand will continue a meteoric evolution with the AOC in 1996, then reinvents itself in 2015 with the name of Maison La Mauny with a know-how recognized worldwide. All the stages of manufacture are perfectly mastered with a master piece that the micro climate enjoyed by the Domaine la Maison La Mauny.
