Yamazaki
YAMAZAKI
Yamazaki is the first whisky distillery in Japan, founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii, the founder of Suntory. Located near Osaka, it was designed to produce whisky in the Scottish style, using pure water from the surrounding mountains. The distillery is known for its artisanal production, combining copper pot stills and aging in various types of casks, which gives its whiskies a unique complexity. With numerous international awards to its name, Yamazaki is now regarded as a symbol of Japanese whisky excellence.
