Woodford

WOODFORD

Located in the heart of Kentucky, the distillery was founded in 1812 by Elijah Pepper, one of the pioneers of bourbon production in the United States. Prohibition led to the closure of the distillery, like many others. In 1996, Brown-Forman, the distiller from Louisville, decided to relaunch the brand by reconstructing the distillery on its original site while preserving its style and artisanal methods. Today, it is the smallest distillery in Kentucky but also one of the most renowned. In this legendary horse country, Woodford Reserve is the official bourbon whiskey of the two iconic horse races, the Kentucky Derby and the Breeder's Cup.
