THE BRAND

The whisky Alfred Giraud was created by Philippe Giraud, who, after exploring the world, left the William Grant & Sons group in 2004 to launch his own whisky brand. His primary goal was to uphold the family legacy by using expert distillates, notably from the Saint-Palais distillery, aiming to become the French equivalent of Macallan. Each distillate is crafted from top-quality French barley, aged in very old cognac casks and new Limousin oak barrels. Two master blenders work daily to add significant value to Alfred Giraud whisky, drawing on decades of experience with the sole aim of achieving the perfect balance. While the Alfred Giraud house may not yet have reached its peak, it is steadfastly moving in the right direction.
