EDDU
Eddu is a Breton whisky created in 2002 by the Distillerie des Menhirs, located near Quimper. This whisky stands out for its use of buckwheat (sarrasin), a traditional Breton grain, instead of the usual barley. The production process combines artisanal methods with aging in oak barrels that previously contained regional wines or other spirits, imparting unique aromas of dried fruits, hazelnuts, and spices to the whisky. This innovative whisky quickly gained popularity for its distinctive flavor and artisanal quality.
