Unpeated Whisky
UNPEATED WHISKIES
Unpeated whiskies are distinguished by their smoothness and complexity, free from the smoky notes associated with peat. Made from malted barley dried with a non-peated fuel, such as gas or coal, this process imparts a sweeter and fruitier flavor to the whisky, without the characteristic smoky taste of peated whiskies. These whiskies reveal the true essence of the grains used in their production, allowing for a varied range of flavors, from notes of vanilla, honey, and caramel to hints of fruits and nuts.
Originating from various regions, including Scotland, Ireland, and the United States, unpeated whiskies are crafted using traditional distillation methods that highlight their unique characteristics. Notable brands in this category include Aberlour, Macallan, and Yamazaki, each offering a distinct profile that reflects the terroir and craftsmanship behind their production.
At Mon Whisky, we offer you a carefully curated selection of unpeated whiskies, featuring both well-known classics and rare finds, perfect for those seeking a refined and smooth tasting experience.
