THE BRAND
Alfred Giraud whisky was born, when Philippe Giraud, after having traveled the world, left the William Grant & Sons group in 2004 to launch and create his own whisky. Its main motivation is the desire to perpetuate the family heritage, by relying on expert distillates, including the Saint-Palais distillery, with the ambition of becoming the French Maccalan. Each whisky is made from top quality French barley, which is then aged in very old cognac barrels, as well as new Limousin wooden barrels. Two master blenders work hard to bring real added value to Alfred Giraud whiskies, thanks to their decades of experience, with one single goal, to achieve perfect balance. The Alfred Giraud house has not yet reached the top, but is heading in the right direction.
