THE BRAND
The Glendronach distillery is located at the edge of the Speyside, on the east coast, at Dronach Burn in the Deveron region. It was created by a union that was to be led by James Allardice in 1826, having received the right to distiller at the beginning of the 19th century thanks to the Duke De Gordon. The distillery uses the same distillation methods since the beginning of its activity, producing single malt aged in high quality sherry barrels. Following numerous changes of owners until its closure in 1996, the owners of Benriach bought in 2008 the Glendronach distillery, and will produce in small quantities a peated single malt.
GLENDRONACH
Glendronach is a Scotch whisky brand located in the famous Speyside valley in Scotland, in the town of Forgue, sourcing its water from the Dronach Brun spring. It was founded in 1826 by James Allardice. Completely destroyed by a fire in 1837, it was rebuilt in 1852 and then purchased by Mr. Grant in 1920, before finally being sold to William Teacher & Sons in 1960. Glendronach was put on hold in 1996 before becoming operational again in 2002. Since then, the distillery has remained active and is notable for heating its stills with coal fire
