DALMORE Luminary 2 48.6% - Edition 2024

€310.00 VAT included

The Dalmore Luminary No. 2 is an exceptional Scotch single malt created in collaboration between Melodie Leung and Greg Glass. This lightly peated whisky was aged in American white oak bourbon casks, then finished in a blend of prestigious barrels. These include a rare 1963 Porto Colheita cask, a 30-year-old Apostoles sherry cask, and a 1951 hybrid virgin oak cask from The Dalmore, air-dried and toasted by Greg Glass. It marks the first in the Luminary series, a limited collection of three single malts crafted by luminaries in whisky and architectural design. A must-have for collectors

THE BRAND

Dalmore, owners the oldest stills in the Highlands, one of them has been in operation since 1874. Different “spirit stills” are used and this unique combination makes it possible for this distillery to obtain a very balanced single malt with incredible complexity. To age their whisky, Dalmore largely uses sherry casks of a wide variety : Oloroso, Amoroso, Mathusalem (from the Gonzales Byass bodega in Andalusia). An exceptional partnership in every way. Once the whisky has reached maturity, the different types of casks are assembled to give birth to one of the expressions of their range, the final product resting for an additional period of four months in order to promote the blend and the harmony of the flavours.
