The Loch Lomond distillery was founded by the Littlemill Distilling Company in 1964, with its first distillation recorded in 1966. Unfortunately, in 1984, the distillery ceased operations. In 1987, Alexander Bulloch and the Glen Catrine company acquired the business and resumed malt production. The Bulloch family has been involved in the whisky industry since 1842 when they launched a wine, spirits, and beer distribution company in Scotland.
Grain whisky production began in 1993, and two new stills were installed in 1999.
