BENROMACH 2011 Château Cissac 46% is the latest edition of the Contrasts collection of Benromach whiskey. Distilled in 2011, is distinguished by an exceptional double maturation. After a first stay in first-fill bourbon barrels, it was pampered for 5 years in the most prestigious Bordeaux wine barrels.

This careful elaboration gave birth to a harmonious fusion of flavors, revealing delicate aromas of honey and flowers, notes of forest fruits and toasted oak, crowned by a gentle peat smoke at the end of the tasting. A refined and nuanced taste experience, symbol of the mastered art of the Benromach distillery.

Quantity

Nose: Subtle notes of rose, followed by honey and ripe red fruits.

Taste: Soft and sweet, with flavors of zesty mandarin and wild berries. Forest fruits, all balanced by toasted oak.

Finish: Finely full-bodied and fruity supported by subtle peat smoke.

THE BRAND

The BENROMACH distillery was founded in 1898 then closed on various occasions before being bought by the famous trading house Gordon Macphail. completely rebuilt, it reopened its doors in 1998.

Benromach has its origins in pre-60s Speyside, with its delicately smoky style and beautiful harmony of aromas. Recognized for the quality of its distillate, the distillery pays very particular attention to the production of its whisky. Indeed, Benromach's three distillers orchestrate every second of the distillation process using quality, 100% Scottish ingredients. Each barrel is filled, weighed and stamped by hand, and is intended to age for many years in their traditional cellars.
