This peated or even Peated AMRUT version goes perfectly with aging in port barrels. With an uncompromising style, there is a subtle interplay of peaty, fruity, exotic, medicinal, spicy and ashy flavors.
In very limited edition.
Colour: Topaz with greenish reflections.
Nose: Rich and concentrated, with elegant peat, red and black fruits.
Palate: Delicate and refined, exotic notes, with a milky, liquorice and oily attack on the palate, intensely smoky and peaty.
Finish: Long and greedy, flavor of vanilla flan, tobacco notes with an animal character, and ripe fruit, citrus and green licorice.
Produced almost exclusively from barley grown in the fertile plains at the foot of the Himalayas, and not chill-filtered, Amrut is similar to the great Scotch whiskeys of Speyside with fruity, chocolate and spicy notes typical of aging in ex- bourbon casks. With undeniable success, the distillery offers small cuvées at natural strength grading more than 60% to further highlight the finesse and unique character of this single malt.
