The Whiskey Magazine IB Collection Hua Yang Japanese craft whiskey series is the result of an exclusive collaboration between bottler Hua Yang and Whiskey Magazine.

Launched in 2022, this collection offers three distinct editions, including the Chichibu 7 years, the Yuza 7 years and the Sakuro 3 years. Chichibu, one of the jewels of the Japanese whiskey world, is renowned for the exceptional quality of its expressions.

This precious bottling, distilled in 2019 and bottled in 2023 at a powerful 62.30%, comes from bourbon barrels. This exceptional expression reveals the quintessence of Japanese terroir, capturing the unique balance between the surrounding natural elements.

THE BRAND 

Born in 2008, the Japanese single malt whisky Chichibu has already captured the hearts of Japanese whisky enthusiasts and discerning whisky connoisseurs alike. Produced entirely in its distillery, and soon incorporating local ingredients such as barley, peat, and even Japanese oak for certain expressions, Chichibu is poised to become the first 100% Japanese whisky, thanks to the vision of its creator, Ichiro Akuto. Fermented in mizunara casks (a highly prized variety of Japanese oak for whisky) and distilled in small stills, this liquid surprises with its maturity and complexity, even at a young age. A true artisanal masterpiece.
