The single malt CAOL ILA 12-year-old 2010 Moscatel Finish Antipodes transcends, without distorting, the style so characteristic of the single malt produced by the largest distillery on the island of Islay. It was refined in barrels having contained Portuguese sweet wine from the Moscatel grape variety. They offer us a smoked and iodized single malt with delicate notes of honey, grapes and jasmine.

THE BRAND

Founded in 1846 by Hector Henderson, the Caol Ila Distillery is the largest producer of whisky on the Isle of Islay, capable of producing up to 7 million liters of alcohol in just one week. To produce and develop this Caol Ila single malt, the barley is always malted on the island, in Port Ellen, and the spring water used comes from a source upstream of the distillery infiltrating through the limestone to then flows into Loch nam Bonnach, thus respecting the ancestral tradition of the distillery.

THE DEALER

Established in 1698, Berry Bros. & Rudd is one of the UK's oldest wine and spirits merchants. Official suppliers to the British crown since the 18th century, the Berry and Rudd families still stand out for their ability to always offer innovative and original products. The London boutique, located at 3 St James Street, illustrates the tradition of their know-how and enjoys a reputation as experts with high quality standards. Berry Bros. & Rudd, as a spirits merchant, selects and bottles quality whiskeys and rums under the names “Berrys’ Own Selection”, “BBR Retro” and “Exceptional Casks”.
