This 21-year-old Knockando edition is the result of a careful selection at the heart of Knockando’s reserves. This Single Malt is the result of a careful selection and an assembly of three barrels selected by an optimal aging in order to offer it a velvety and mellow incomparable.
Nose: Firm and powerful. Sweet notes of honey, spices, coffee and leather.
Taste: Rich and concentrated. Oak, vanilla, exotic fruits and candied fruits.
Finish: Long, fresh, vegetal, with notes of nuts and sweet spice.
The Knockando distillery was founded in 1898 by John Thomson and is located near the Spey River in Scotland. It is known for producing a classic single malt with conical stills for the first distillation and spherical stills for the second distillation. Knockando whiskies are always bottled in vintage versions.
Knockando means "small black hill" in Scottish Gaelic.
