The owners of Torabhaig have launched a new Scottish blended collection Caiestal Chamuis which is inspired by the ruins of Camus Castle near the distillery. It comes from a fairly precise selection of Whiskeys from the Isle of Islay, Skye and Orkney. We are on a double maturation in American oak hogsheads first, then 200L American bourbon barrels for finishing. Thus we find a profile which superimposes layers of peat, smoke, accompanied by medicinal and vanilla aromas.
This is a blended malt of very good quality and with excellent value for money.
