Kilchoman Machir Bay is an iconic single malt from the Kilchoman distillery, located on the Isle of Islay, combining the power of peat with a malty sweetness. Aged in bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, it reveals a harmonious balance of smoke, fruit, and vanilla. As usual, the distillery offers an unchill-filtered version, bottled in small batches. The 2013 edition is the result of a blend of malts aged in bourbon casks for 3 to 5 years, then finished in Oloroso sherry casks, adding an extra dimension to its flavor profile. A whisky that captures the rugged, maritime spirit of Islay, with peaty notes and a fruity sweetness! Presented in a gift box with 2 glasses.

KILCHOMAN was founded by Anthony Wills in June 2005. For more than 124 years a new distillery had not been born on the island of Islay on the west coast of Scotland. Supplied by the Port Ellen malting plant, it now makes a point of bringing about 20% of the barley grown on its own land. Certainly one of the smallest distilleries of the island, but already with a prestigious maturity.

The whisky is excellent but the photo is wrong! The two glasses received have nothing to do with the models photographed, they are ugly and I intended to complete a set! Very, very disappointing! (Translated review)
