Glasgow 1770 The Original is an unpeated Scottish single malt crafted in the heart of Glasgow by The Glasgow Distillery. Made from malted barley and the pure water of Loch Katrine, it embodies the revival of Glasgow whisky with a modern, indulgent and perfectly balanced style. Slowly distilled in copper pot stills, it benefits from double maturation in first-fill bourbon casks followed by virgin American white oak casks.
On the nose, this single malt reveals generous notes of dark fruits, citrus, vanilla and delicately toasted oak. The palate is round and full-bodied, driven by flavours of caramel, pear, fig, honey, sweet almond and creamy biscuit. The finish is long and elegant, unveiling notes of orange marmalade, nutmeg and lightly spiced wood.
