The WHITLAW 11 Year Old 2013 Very Cloudy – Signatory Vintage is an Orkney single malt hiding the renowned Highland Park distillery. Located in the far north of Scotland, it is known for its distinctive style, shaped by the use of local peat from Hobbister Moor, delivering a delicate, floral and refined smokiness.
Distilled in 2013 and aged for 11 years in a second fill butt (sherry cask), this whisky preserves the character of the distillate while developing subtle layers of sweetness and complexity.
Part of the Very Cloudy range by Signatory Vintage, this release is non-chill filtered and free from added colouring, resulting in a naturally cloudy appearance and a richer, more oily texture.
Drawn from a small batch of 2 to 5 casks, this single malt offers an authentic, balanced and approachable profile, bottled at 40%. It will appeal to both enthusiasts and those discovering gently peated whiskies with elegance and natural character.

The Highland Park distillery is quite unique, placing great importance on both the people and the peat used in the production of its whiskies. For over 220 years, Highland Park has been drying its barley over peat that is over 4000 years old, cut from Hobbister Moor. The malted barley used is produced on its own estate, on heather-covered land. The whiskies were traditionally aged in Scottish oak casks, although fortunately, they had to abandon this technique as the casks were far too resinous. Highland Park whisky is shaped by the wild, harsh climate and the turbulent sea surrounding the Orkney Islands. Highland Park whisky is truly a concentrate of history.
