HEPP Tharcis Sherry Cask is a French single malt whisky crafted in Alsace by the Hepp distillery, located in the Bas-Rhin region, near Strasbourg. This expression highlights the distillery’s artisanal expertise through a precise approach to maturation and blending.
This whisky is aged between 5 and 6 years depending on cask maturity, then carefully blended using 20% ex-bourbon casks and 80% Oloroso sherry casks. This maturation process brings a rich aromatic complexity, balancing roundness, structure and intensity.
The dominant sherry influence delivers depth and richness, while the bourbon casks soften the profile with smoother, subtly vanilla notes. This approach allows the Tharcis range to stand out with a more structured and indulgent character, distinct from the distillery’s other expressions.
