The Scottish single malt BEN NEVIS selected by Valinch & Mallet for its The Young Master edition was distilled in 2012 and aged in bourbon casks for 9 years. It was bottled in 2022 without chill filtration or the addition of coloring at 52.4%. This characterful single cask still arouses as much emotion with its fruity, vanilla side. It was only published in 360 copies.

Palate: Creamy, light peat with a hint of orange.

THE BOTTLER
Valinch & Mallet is an Italian independent bottler founded by Davide Romano and Fabio Ermoli. Their philosophy is the sharp selection of quality single casks. They base their choices on unchillfiltered whiskeys and rums without adding coloring. Their constant search for tailor-made products, where each piece is unique, have made them recognized and appreciated bottlers, where you know in advance that disappointment will not be there.
THE BOTTLING
Now owned by the Japanese group Nikka since 1989, the BEN NEVIS distillery has kept most of its stocks in ex sherry casks, some bourbon casks have recently appeared on the commercial whiskey market.
