TAMDHU Batch Strengh 006 56,8%
For this Batch 006, the Speyside Tamdhu distillery goes even further by carefully selecting by hand each cask and first filling where the whisky once again matured exclusively in Oloroso casks. The deep copper hue of the single malt is developed by the barrel and nothing more . With its powerful and aromatic qualities, it is a real Sherry Bomb. It is bottled not -filtered cold, and will impress again amateurs.
He won gold at the San Francisco International Spirits Competition in 2022.

THE BRAND
The Tamdhu distillery was founded in Speyside in 1896 and in production the following year. This distillery was originally equipped with two stills, then doubled its equipment in 1972, then six in 1975 to meet growing demand. In 2010 the distillery had to close, as well as the last Saladin malts still in operation in Scotland. In 2011, Ian Macleod Distillers bought the Tamdhu distillery and reopened it in 2012, allowing single malts Tamdhu 10 YO and Batch Strengh to see the light of day again.
