HIGHLAND PARK 15 Year - Viking Heart 44%
Highland Park 15 Years Viking Heart is a rich and complex single malt. Once again the Master Distiller of the Distillery, Gordon Motion selected and assembled several American oak and sherry barrels, and decided to set the stregth at 44% to allow the fruity elements and the peat smoke to stand out. They made the choice to present this single malt in a ceramic bottle to represent the history of Highland Park, taking as back to the era when alcohol would have stored in ceramic containers. A marvel of richness with its spicy aromas of crème brûlée, heather honey, fruit notes, this 15-year-old single malt stands out.

THE BRAND
The Highland Park Distillery is very distinct, the people that create the whisky are equally as important as the peat used for the production. For more than 220 years, Highland Park has smoked its barley, cut on Hobbister Moor, on peat that is more than 4000 years. The malted barley that is used is produced on their own property, surrounded by heather plants. The whiskies were aged in Scottish oak barrels, but unfortunately they had to abandon this technique because the barrels used were far too resinous. Highland Park whisky is marked by the wild and hostile climate and very rough seas surrounding Orkney Island.
HIGHLAND PARK
The Highland Park distillery is quite unique, placing great importance on both the people and the peat used in the production of its whiskies. For over 220 years, Highland Park has been drying its barley over peat that is over 4000 years old, cut from Hobbister Moor. The malted barley used is produced on its own estate, on heather-covered land. The whiskies were traditionally aged in Scottish oak casks, although fortunately, they had to abandon this technique as the casks were far too resinous. Highland Park whisky is shaped by the wild, harsh climate and the turbulent sea surrounding the Orkney Islands. Highland Park whisky is truly a concentrate of history.
