CAOL ILA Moch 43%

€51.50

Caol Ila Moch is a single malt selected for the authenticity of its aromas. An easy to drink whisky, it is lighter than the Caol Ila 12 years old whisky. Moch translates to "dawn" in English. Like its aromatic and taste palette, this version evokes the dawn of a spring day.

Nose : Fine, smooth. Milky notes (coconut, almond), citrus fruits (lemon, grapefruit), a fine peat, bacon and salt.

Palate : Sweet, suave. Spices come into play, including cloves, cinnamon, and pepper. Smoke also emerges. A pleasant minty freshness and candied lemons give it depth.

Finish : Long, caressing. The aromatic plants (verbena, sage) are supported by a layer of liquorice and peat.

THE BRAND

Founded in 1846 by Hector Henderson, the Caol Ila Distillery is the largest producer of whisky on the Isle of Islay, capable of producing up to 7 million liters of alcohol in just one week. To produce and develop this Caol Ila single malt, the barley is always malted on the island, in Port Ellen, and the spring water used comes from a source upstream of the distillery infiltrating through the limestone to then flows into Loch nam Bonnach, thus respecting the ancestral tradition of the distillery.

CAOL ILA

Caol Ila is a whisky distillery located on the Isle of Islay, in a bay near Port Askaig. Founded in 1846 by Hector Henderson, it is now part of the Diageo group. Its name, pronounced "Caoul-ila," means "Islay Strait" in Gaelic. The distillery is known for its unique and elegant character, which allows it to be part of the Classic Malts Selection. This selection, created over 20 years ago, brings together single malts crafted from the expertise of iconic distilleries in Scotland. Caol Ila is particularly appreciated for its peaty notes and distinctive style, attracting whisky enthusiasts from around the world.
