Neisson unveils the third edition of its ÉQUILIBRE cuvée, born from a renewed dialogue between the distillery’s craftsmanship and the singular artistic vision of Martinican artist Carole Aurore. Presented in a blue bottle transformed into a true canvas of expression, this release celebrates the meeting point of material and art.
Through her asemic writing, where text and image merge into one, Carole Aurore visually extends the quest for balance that lies at the heart of this cuvée. Crafted as an exercise in precision and bottled at 52.5% ABV, this creation is built upon a meticulously orchestrated blend conceived by the distillery’s cellar master.
The blend combines a rum aged in an American oak Oloroso sherry cask, first laid down on 24 October 2024, with a rum matured in a French oak cask that previously held Cognac, following an initial 12-month fill in an Allary cask, and set down for aging on 1 July 2024. Together, these components create a cuvée in which technical rigor and artistic sensitivity achieve a perfect balance.

Neisson, the smallest independent distillery in Martinique, was created in the commune of Carbet by the Neisson brothers in 1931 , Adrien and Jean, who each have very specific tasks. Adrien was thus in charge of the farm, and his brother Jean, an engineer by training, was given the task of taking care of the processing, and was on the initiative of installing the famous copper distillery column, known as the Savalle column, in 1958. that the Neisson distillery changes hands, and at that time, Claudine Vernant Neisson heiress of this distillery, accompanied by her son, upsets the distillery’s habits, restoring it in 3 years. Success continued to grow, and in 2013, the two innovators decided to produce organic agricultural rums in perfect harmony with the surrounding ecosystem.
