The La Favorite Sélection FDLC – Navigation 2024 Cuvée N°2 is an agricultural rum from Martinique, the result of a collaboration between the La Favorite distillery and Les Frères de la Côte. For this edition, a batch of 900 liters of premium white rum was selected, casked at 55% vol. in barrels that had previously contained Monbazillac, chosen from Tonnellerie Navarre. After a three-month voyage aboard the Tres Hombres, a sailing brigantine, the rum rested for nine months in the cellars of the La Favorite distillery in Sainte-Marie. A slight reduction brought the strength to 53.7% followed by resting in stainless steel vats. This limited edition cuvée of 550 bottles was bottled in April 2025. Accompanied by a 5cl miniature allowing the rum to be compared before and after aging at sea.

LA FAVORITE
L'Habitation La Favorite was founded in 1842 and is now one of the last two family-owned and independent distilleries in the Caribbean. In 1905, the estate was acquired by the Dormoy family, who modernized the distillery with the installation of a steam engine, still in use today. The rums from the La Favorite distillery are made from pure sugarcane juice from the estate's plantations. The 60 hectares are entirely hand-harvested, following traditional Martinican methods. Expertise, authenticity, and respect for the environment are the core values of the brand.
