The Depaz distillery is located at the foot of Mount Pelée in Martinique and produces agricultural rum. The island of Martinique is one of the most renowned for its rum, and one of its most respected producers is Depaz. The Depaz family is highly regarded and loved by the people of Martinique, playing a significant role in the island's historical and agricultural development. The rum is produced from sugarcane grown on their estate, with soil that is primarily composed of volcanic ash from the eruption of Mount Pelée in 1902.
