THE BRAND

French Booze Project is a distillery founded by Laurent Mandon in Pierre-Buffière (Haute-Vienne), driven by a modern and original spirit. After spending seven years traveling the world, Laurent decided to channel his experiences into unique creations — selecting botanicals in harmony with his discoveries to craft complex, surprising, and characterful spirits.

The project was born from a desire to shake up the established codes of the French spirits scene. At its core: a small team of passionate individuals — distillers, bartenders, and creatives — united by a common obsession: to create bold, uncompromising, and authentic spirits.

The idea first took shape in 2018, during a road trip across the French terroirs. The observation was clear: the know-how was there, the ingredients too, but too often constrained by rigid recipes or marketing trends. So why not start from scratch?

In 2019, French Booze Project officially launched, with a clear vision:

👉 to produce raw, artisanal, and identity-driven spirits, with full independence.

The name is a playful statement: "booze", as in strong, unapologetic drinks — and a nod to the craft culture the brand proudly embraces. The word "project" highlights the evolving, almost experimental nature of the adventure.

Since then, the brand has been charting its own course, blending micro-distillation, local collaborations, and unfiltered creativity. Gin, vodka, bitters… every bottle is a playground. Every batch has a story.
