Orchard Outburst by Noble Rebel is a blended malt crafted by Michael Henry and the team behind the award-winning single malts of Loch Lomond and Glen Scotia. This balanced whisky skillfully combines zesty notes of lemon and lime with the creamy sweetness of vanilla, hints of orchard fruits, and delicate touches of sea breeze. Aged in former bourbon casks and distilled with white wine yeast, this whisky is bottled at 46% ABV, without chill filtration and without added artificial color.
Nose: Sweet hay, green apples, and floral honey.
Palate: Malted milk, with more apple, pear, and some waxy orange peel, along with a drizzle of salted caramel.
Finale: Sweet and lingering, with some spiced apple pie.
The Loch Lomond distillery was founded by the Littlemill Distilling Company in 1964, with its first distillation recorded in 1966. Unfortunately, in 1984, the distillery ceased operations. In 1987, Alexander Bulloch and the Glen Catrine company acquired the business and resumed malt production. The Bulloch family has been involved in the whisky industry since 1842 when they launched a wine, spirits, and beer distribution company in Scotland.
Grain whisky production began in 1993, and two new stills were installed in 1999.
