Nose: Victoria plum jam, brambles, strawberries, cherry blossom, honeysuckle, sandalwood, ginger.
Palate: Blackberry crumble, roasted apples, gingerbread, baked orange, black cherry.
Finish: Orange peel, sultanas, cherry cake.
The Glendronach Distillery is located on the edge of Speyside on the East Coast at Dronach Burn in the Deveron region. It was created by a union, led by James Allardice in 1826, having received the right to distill at the beginning of the 19th century thanks to the Duke of Gordon. The distillery has used the same distillation methods since the beginning of its activity, producing Single Malts aged in high quality sherry casks. Following numerous changes of ownership until it closed in 1996, until the owners of Benriach bought the Glendronach distillery in 2008, and thus started producing a peated single malt in small quantities.
