Talisker donates £3 from every bottle made to Parley initiatives that support ocean protection and preservation. Nose: Notes of smoke and brine, with a hint of sweetness and fruitiness. Black pepper and cinnamon, which add spicy complexity to the whole nose.
Palate: Creamy. Smoke and peat flavors dominate, with a hint of saltiness and sweetness in the background, dark chocolate, espresso and dried fruit notes, which add depth and complexity.
Finish: Long and warm, with lingering smoke and spice that leaves a pleasant and satisfying aftertaste.
The MacAskill brothers acquired the Talisker distillery in 1825 and founded it in 1830. It is located in the northern end of the Isle of Skye in Scotland and is the only distillery on the island. Talisker means the steep rock in the Nordic language. Talisker is the only single malt made on the banks of Loch Harport and is one of the most famous distilleries in the world. Talisker whiskies are greatly influenced by their origin and history. Their smell and taste instantly connect with the wild environment in which they were raised. Its fresh and peated water does not come from streams or rivers but from the 21 underground sources of Hawk Hill a few steps from the distillery The single malt is elaborated in a traditional way and has an oily character recognizable due to its slow cooling out alembic.
