Balvenie 16-year-old French Oak is a 16 YO Scottish Single Malt whisky. It was distilled under the direction of Chai Master David Stewart, after a first aging of 6 years in old American oak barrels, before being refined in former barrels of Pineau des Charentes for an exceptional finish.
Nose: Balanced with floral and fresh grass notes.
Taste: Notes of lemon peel, grapefruit and ginger root spices.
Finish: Refreshing and balanced.
THE BRAND
Built in 1892 by William Grant, The Balvenie Distillery is one of the few distilleries in Scotland that still grows its own barley. It uses traditional maltings on the ground. Surrounded by a team of "craftsmen" (boilermakers, coopers) the malt master David C. Stewart MBE manages the maturation process with a master hand. Each bottle of this single malt bears the handwritten number of the cask in which it has aged
