The 1992 Tormore single malt spent a quarter of a century in a single hogshead refill (#1687). Suffice to say that it is impressive with a 45.7% ABV bottling for 258 bottles. Always in his quest for excellence, Hunter Laing carefully selects each unique cask with rare qualities for his First Editions collection. This 26 YO Tormore is a perfect illustration with a very fruity heart profile that you must have in his library.

THE BRAND
Hunter Laing is a family independent bottler and now owner of the iconic Greenfield site in Ardnahoe on Islay Island. They work with the best cooperages in Scotland, the United States and Spain. Each cuvée is the subject of small batches that are bottled without 46° cold filtration or staining in the Glasgow cellars.
THE DISTILLERY
The TORMORE distillery was built in 1958, one of the first new distilleries built during the scotch boom after World War II. With a superb construction, it is recognized as a listed monument. Located in the heart of the Caimgorms in the Speyside, it draws its water from the Achvochkie Burn which passes in front, having to throw itself into the Spey River. It has 4 Wash Still and 4 Spirit still.
