This 12-year-old Glenrothes single malt has been aged in ex-sherry oak barrels for 12 years and bottled without cold filtration or colouring. This single malt perfectly develops a sweet character and notes of fruit, and well represents the style of the house.
Nose: Light aroma of banana and vanilla.
Palate: Notes of banana, citrus with a hint of cinnamon.
Finish: Long and sweet with citrus notes.
Quietly and without compromise, the Glenrothes distillery produces some of the best single malt from Speyside since 1879. The Glenrothes is one of the few distilleries in Scotland to have its own water sources for the production, processing and reduction of spirits located on the estate. The distillery has opted for a slow distillation that removes more impurities and allows the production of a lighter and more fruity alcohol, more delicate overall. The majority of Glenrothes are aged in oak barrels dried with sherry and rigorously selected near Jerez in Spain.
