Arran Sherry Cask "The Bodega" has been fully aged in sherry casks for 7 years. The barrels used for maturation are small for an even more intense exchange with the wood. This new single malt is elegant, complex and robust at the same time. A perfect contrast to its sister edition, The Bothy which presents more softness and roundness.
Nose : Opens with notes of toffee, raisins, sweet spices and tangerines.
Palate : Elegant, the palate evolves with aromas of ripe figs, black cherries and sweet spices.
Finish : Long and powerful, the finish reveals subtle accents of tangerine, pink pepper, dark chocolate and toasted wood.
Arran, distinguished by its refinements in a wide variety of barrels that have contained wine (from Champagne, Margaux or Marsala), but also eaux-de-vie (cognac, calvados). The distillery also has the particularity of producing whisky made from forgotten barley varieties, as well as a series of vintage single casks often bottled in the cask. Produced on an island to the west of the Scottish mainland, its style resembles that of a Highland whisky.
