GLENMORANGIE Nectar d'or 12-year-old 46%
Rich and spicy, the Glenmorangie Nector d'Or is a whisky with a unique finish since it benefited from an aging of 2 years in Sauternes barrels then 10 years in American white oak barrels. This edition bears the name of its creator Bill Lumsden who was one of the first to use wine barrels for aging whiskies.
Nose: The lemon tart points between the fresh vanilla bean, lime and orange zest. Then follow the raisins and the date, enhanced by ginger and coconut, with a hint of toasted oak.
Mouth: Silky texture that goes with caramel cream combined with gingerbread. There is also nutmeg, toasted almond, meringue and honeycomb.
Finish: Sweet and round, it offers a nice harmony between lemon zest and vanilla cream, all spiced up with a hint of ginger and nutmeg.
