Waterford Ballykilcavan Edition 1.2 is the expression of a terroir, with the use of 100% Irish barley. For this second limited edition Ballykilcavan, the barley comes from the farm run by David Walsh-kemmis in County Laois. We find in the whisky all the complexity of the barley of this region near a wooded area, one of the best soils for the production of barley.
Waterford is the reflection of a philosophy of the famous Mark Reynier without concession, a single malt distilled in 2016, bottled at 50% without colourings or cold filtration.
Nose : Fruity and farmy (red grapes, cooked apples, dried fruits), accompanied by aromas of fion.
Palate : Very indulgent, creamy, with surprising notes of white pepper, apricot and spices.
Finish : Malty and dry with a touch of chocolate, spices and cereals.
Waterford is a whisky distillery located in the South East of Ireland since in 2016. It is the fruit of the imagination of Mark Reynier, the former owner of Bruichladdich. Waterford has an exceptional state-of-the-art facility originally built by Diageo in 2004 and converted to distillation in 2015. The brand produces single malts using the highest quality raw materials.
