Glenlivet French Oak Réserve 15-year-old 40%

€69.90 VAT included

The Glenlivet 15-year-old French Oak is aged in American and European oak barrels. This soft and complex single malt derives its originality from an aging, for a few years, in French oak barrels of the Limousin. This method of exclusive elaboration gives it its fruity and spicy notes.

Glenlivet is known as the first legal distillery in Speyside, founded in 1824 by George Smith after years of underground activity. The Glenlivet is now the best-selling single malt in the United States and second in the world.

THE BRAND

The distillery, located in northern Scotland, was founded by George Smith in 1824, becoming the first distiller to obtain an official license. During this period of history, many distilleries have tried to copy its distillation methods. George Smith distills a very smooth and complex single malt, with a very long and very long palate. It was in 1884 that he managed to get permission to call his whisky «The Glenlivet», whose name was inspired by the famous Livet Valley.
