Kilchoman Machir Bay is an iconic single malt from the Kilchoman distillery, located on the Isle of Islay, which combines the power of peat with a beautiful malty sweetness. Aged in bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, it reveals a harmonious balance of smoke, fruits, and vanilla. As usual, the distillery offers a version that is unchill-filtered and bottled in small batches. The 2013 edition is the result of a blend of malts aged in bourbon casks for 3 to 5 years, then finished for several weeks in Oloroso sherry casks, adding an extra dimension to its flavor profile.
A whisky that captures the rugged, maritime spirit of Islay, with peaty notes and a fruity sweetness!

KILCHOMAN was founded by Anthony Wills in June 2005. For over 124 years, no new distillery had been established on the island of Islay, on the west coast of Scotland. Supplied by the Port Ellen maltings, it now strives to grow around 20% of its barley on its own land. Although it is certainly one of the smallest distilleries on the island, KILCHOMAN already enjoys a prestigious maturity.
