Kilkerran Heavily Peated 57.8% - Batch 10 is an exceptional single malt, produced at the Glengyle distillery in Campbeltown. With a peat level of 85ppm, it reveals powerful aromas of smoke and peat, typical of Islay whiskies, along with marine and spicy notes. Aged in Bourbon casks (90%) and Sherry casks (10%), it offers fruity and sweet touches that balance the strength of the peat. Bottled at cask strength and non-chill filtered, it has a rich mouthfeel with flavors of candied fruits, chocolate, and wood. Its finish is long and persistent, marked by deep smoke and a sweet touch. A complex and limited whisky, perfect for peat malt enthusiasts.

The Glengyle distillery is an independent family-owned business located in Campbeltown. It produced whisky from 1872 to 1925, before closing for 79 years. In 2004, Mitchell’s Glengyle Ltd revived the distillery, bringing the ancestral legacy back to life. The name Kilkerran comes from the Gaelic "Ceann Loch Cille Chiarain," referring to the original settlement where Saint Kieran established his religious cell.
Today, Glengyle produces a range of Kilkerran Single Malt whiskies, all naturally colored and non-chill filtered. Every step of production takes place in Campbeltown, where the fresh water comes from Crosshill Loch, located on the Beinn Ghuilean plateau. The barley is traditionally malted on the floor at the sister distillery Springbank, then transferred to Glengyle for distillation. Finally, the whisky is aged and bottled in Campbeltown.
