Since 2018, the Japanese distillery Chichibu has paid tribute to Paris with an exclusive whisky edition. The 2024 edition celebrates the dialogue between the iconic landmarks of the French capital and their Japanese counterparts. Six unique labels, printed on traditional washi paper, illustrate these architectural parallels: the Eiffel Tower and Tokyo Tower, the Arc de Triomphe and Meiji Jingu Gate, Notre-Dame de Paris and the Imperial Palace of Kōkyo.
This exceptional whisky is crafted from a meticulous blend of 12 ex-bourbon casks, two quarter casks (chibidaru), and a cask that previously held red wine. Aged for 6 to 7 years, it reveals remarkable aromatic complexity, combining delicate peat notes with a rich and well-balanced flavor profile.
Available in an ultra-limited edition, Chichibu Paris Edition 2024 is restricted to 2,484 bottles, divided into six series of 414 units. Each order will randomly receive one of the six unique labels, making every bottle a collector’s item.

Nose: Refined and balanced, an elegant peat intertwines with notes of white fruits (pear, apple), aromatic herbs (sage, tarragon), and green almond. Upon aeration, medicinal, vanilla, and herbaceous nuances (cut hay) enrich the aromatic palette.
Palate: Lively and balanced, an oily peat dominates the initial taste. The mid-palate, green and lemony, reveals fruity (Williams pear) and menthol notes.
Finish: Long and delicate, reminiscent of a key lime and basil tart, with hints of barley sugar, agave honey, coconut milk, and a peat with licorice and chocolate nuances in the aftertaste.
CHICHIBU
Chichibu is a Japanese distillery founded in 2008 by Ichiro Akuto in the mountainous region of Saitama, near Tokyo. Although young, the distillery quickly established itself as one of the best in Japan, thanks to Ichiro’s vision, a passion for the art of distillation, and a desire to produce exceptional whisky. Chichibu stands out for its use of pure water from nearby mountains and artisanal methods, including aging in oak casks, sometimes imported from Scotland, as well as wine and sherry casks. The distillery embodies both innovation and Japanese tradition in the world of whisky.
