THE BRAND
Founded in 1825 by the Murphy family in Cork, Ireland, the Midleton distillery has evolved to become part of the Irish Distillers Group, which was created through the merger of John Power, John Jameson, and Cork Distilleries. In 1975, a new distillery was built alongside the old one. In 1984, the Midleton Very Rare range was launched, featuring only 50 selected casks. Now a subsidiary of the Pernod-Ricard group, the distillery produces famous whiskey brands such as Jameson, Power, Tullamore Dew, Redbreast, Green Spot, Yellow Spot, and Paddy.
