BUFFALO TRACE
Buffalo Trace is an iconic distillery, founded in 1812 in Frankfort, Kentucky. Its history is rich and marked by key moments that have shaped the American whiskey industry. During Prohibition, Buffalo Trace was one of the few distilleries authorized to produce whiskey for medicinal purposes, allowing it to survive this difficult period. Over the decades, the distillery has undergone several changes in ownership and name, but it has always maintained its commitment to craftsmanship. In 1999, it was officially renamed Buffalo Trace Distillery, in homage to the historic path used by bison that traversed the region.
Buffalo Trace is also known for its diverse production, offering several styles of whiskeys, including bourbons and rye whiskeys, through prestigious brands such as Ancient Age, McAfee's Benchmark, Rock Hill Farms, and W.L. Weller.
