THE BRAND

The Glenfarclas distillery has been in existence since 1865. It is one of the last family distilleries in Scotland. Managed by the Grant’s of Glenfarclas family for 150 years. For economic and strategic reasons, they have been able to build up stocks over the years to feed their famous collection The Family cask. The distillery is located at the foot of Ben Rinnes in Scotland, far away on slopes covered with heather, fed by a crystalline spring gushing from the granite. The juices are distilled twice in traditional stills over direct fire. The ex sherry oloroso casks are selected directly in Spain. The methods used remain artisanal and are transmitted over the years.

GLENFARCLAS

Glenfarclas is an iconic Scottish whisky distillery located in Ballindalloch, in the Speyside region. Founded in 1836 by Robert Hay, the distillery has been owned and operated by the same family, the Grant family, for six generations. This family-run business is one of the few Scottish distilleries still owned by its founding family. The name Glenfarclas is derived from Scottish Gaelic, meaning "Valley of the Green Grass." The distillery is renowned for its commitment to quality and tradition, producing high-quality single malt whisky aged in Spanish sherry casks. The use of these casks imparts characteristic rich and fruity notes to Glenfarclas whiskies. The distillery offers a wide range of whiskies, from young and fruity expressions to more mature and complex ones. Glenfarclas is also known for its policy of non-chill filtration and non-coloration, preserving the integrity and purity of its products. With its rich history and dedication to craftsmanship, Glenfarclas continues to be a sought-after destination for whisky enthusiasts worldwide.
