THE BRAND
Founded in 1842, La Favorite is one of the last two family-owned and independent distilleries in Martinique. In 1905, Henri Dornoy purchased the estate and modernized the distillery with a steam engine, which is still in operation today, making production energetically self-sufficient.
Each year, nearly 500,000 liters of agricole rum are produced at La Favorite, made from pure sugarcane juice grown on the estate. The 60 hectares of plantations are harvested entirely by hand, in keeping with Martiniquais traditions.
Know-how, authenticity, and respect for the environment: at La Favorite, rum has been a family story for four generations.

L'Habitation La Favorite was founded in 1842 and is now one of the last two family-owned and independent distilleries in the Caribbean. In 1905, the estate was acquired by the Dormoy family, who modernized the distillery with the installation of a steam engine, still in use today. The rums from the La Favorite distillery are made from pure sugarcane juice from the estate's plantations. The 60 hectares are entirely hand-harvested, following traditional Martinican methods.
