THE BRAND

Costa Rica is the place to grow sugar cane. Its warm and humid climate offers ideal conditions for the production of high quality rum. It is in this idyllic place that the Centenario distillery produces its rum with the greatest care and respect for tradition. Created in 1850 it is one of the oldest distillery in operation on the American continent. Molasses is produced on site and distilled from two types of stills, column and iron. The assembly is usually made on ex-bourbon barrels, then the use of the solera system for aging.

Centenario is a Costa Rican rum brand founded in 1966 by the Cordero family, in homage to the centenary of Costa Rica's independence. The distillery specializes in producing high-quality rums, using locally sourced sugar cane and a careful aging process in oak barrels.
