The French single malt Pointe Blanche Bio is made from carefully selected organic malted barley, brewed on-site at the distillery, thanks to a collaboration with a certified organic cooperative in Charente-Maritime. The Chevanceaux Distillery has developed the Pointe Blanche Bio Single Malt with a 100% local approach.
Its production and aging, both on the mainland and the island, adhere to the steps of organic whisky. After an initial aging of at least three years in the distillery's cellars using new French and American oak barrels, as well as casks that previously held Cognac, the whisky is then refined for an additional 12 to 24 months on an island in the Atlantic, within an oyster cabin. Here, it matures in ex-Bourbon and ex-Pineau des Charentes barrels.
