Planteray PXXO celebrates the subtle art of blending and aging, backed by over 25 years of expertise. This cuvée reimagines the legendary Planteray XO 20th Anniversary, a blend of Barbados rums aged between 12 and 20 years, originally crafted to honor Alexandre Gabriel's 20 years as cellar master at Maison Ferrand. After an initial aging in bourbon casks in Barbados, this rum undergoes further maturation in cognac casks in Charente, followed by a final refinement in Pedro Ximenez casks, which imparts rich notes of dried fruits and dark fruit preserves.

Nose: Soft and spicy aromas of coconut and vanilla, quickly joined by hints of honey, Christmas cake, clove, and a touch of incense. Tropical fruits like mango and banana subtly emerge, accompanied by light tobacco notes.
Palate: A rich and velvety texture, with flavors of coconut, chocolate, and custard. Notes of coffee, grape syrup, and a hint of lemon blend together, followed by aromas of prunes, almonds, cherries, along with ginger and allspice.
Finish: The finish reveals rich and generous flavors, offering a well-balanced and refined tasting experience.
After more than 25 years as Plantation Rum, the brand has now become Planteray Rum. Also produced by Alexandre Gabriel, this is simply a rebranding, with the products remaining exactly the same. The rums come from some of the finest distilleries in the Caribbean (Barbados, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Nicaragua, Panama, or Trinidad). The Plantation Rum collection is divided into two distinct ranges: blends and vintages. The blends are carefully crafted by the Maison Ferrand cellar master, while the vintages, with flavors that vary from one year to the next, are drawn directly from the barrel and available in limited quantities.
