This remarkable vintage was created to commemorate the 20th year of Alexandre Gabriel as Master Blender of Planteray rums. It is a blend of rums aged between 12 and 20 years, all originating from Barbados, and it truly embodies the essence of this island. Like the other Planteray rums, this exotic vintage has aged on its native soil but has also benefited from a maturation in Cognac casks, originally used for Pierre Ferrand cognacs.
The blending was meticulously carried out by the cellar master of Maison Ferrand, following the traditional methods of the region.
Nose: Spicy oak aromas complemented by guava, a hint of dried coconut, and dehydrated banana. A buttery sensation.
Palate: A spicy and creamy entry, revealing sweet notes of vanilla and caramel, with background woody spices.
Finish: Flavors of caramel and toasted oak.
After more than 25 years as Plantation Rum, the brand has now become Planteray Rum. Also produced by Alexandre Gabriel, this is simply a rebranding, with the products remaining exactly the same. The rums come from some of the finest distilleries in the Caribbean (Barbados, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Nicaragua, Panama, or Trinidad). The Plantation Rum collection is divided into two distinct ranges: blends and vintages. The blends are carefully crafted by the Maison Ferrand cellar master, while the vintages, with flavors that vary from one year to the next, are drawn directly from the barrel and available in limited quantities.
