This edition of Whiskey Sponge Edition No.83 is a single refill hogshead from Westport" 17 years old distilled in 2006. Nose: Orange peel, milk chocolate, espresso, stone fruits and ginger.
Taste: Cinnamon, citrus, apricot, cereal sweetness, caramel and toasted oak.
Finish: Chocolate and citrus.
THE BRAND
Glenmorangie is a Scottish distillery located in the Highlands region. In 1887, the Glenmorangie Distillery Company Ltd was founded. The distillery was later bought by Macdonald & Muir in 1918. It remained the property of the Macdonald family for 90 years and was finally bought by the LVMH group in 2004. Glenmorangie is a distillery which produces single malts. The particularity of the distillery is that it is equipped with the highest stills in Scotland. These giant stills have a direct impact on quality.
THE BOTTLING
Decadent Drinks is a small company specializing in independent bottlings of quality spirits and other fine drinks. Mainly focused on products such as whisky, rum, cognac and armagnac, it also plans to expand its range to other drinks in the future. Each month, new editions are released for sale on the company's website, as well as through retail partners and international importers. Based in Perth, Scotland, the business is run by a team of around seven dedicated and passionate people.
